UNTITLED Light flickers at its approaching dullness, After blazing in the splendour of brightness, Diminished with weakening flames, And fierceness made crippled like the lames, At first, ravishing what it could, Until warmness gave way to menacing cold, Quenching with strength unable to hold. . The freshness of a start, Propelled by the urge to impart, To the soul, it was all it wanted; Perfectly summed up as request granted, But it begins to tell in strength, Straying for lack of concentration, Alas! The soul yearned not for this conclusion. . The light was bright; The soul had strength and might, Yet all went with a swipe, Too sudden the ooze and wipe, Draining with ease yet taking away its ease, Till you fret to release, The subdueing grip of weariness. *** Nsikak Jack is a motivational writer and Poet.
