Your brand tagline is (TIC). What does it mean to you, and how does it reflect the brand's values?
TIC represents Timeless, Intentional, and Creative. To me, it means doing things with purpose and consistency. Every footwear produced under TIC Footwears is made with intention, creativity, and durability in mind. The brand values quality, growth, resilience, and customer satisfaction—principles that guide every step of our production process.
Tic Footwears has been making waves in the footwear industry. What's the story behind the brand, and what inspired its creation?
TIC Footwears was born out of life’s challenges and the need to create something meaningful despite having little support. I was inspired by a street uncle who shared his journey of learning a skill at 40 years old. His story encouraged me to start early and believe that growth has no age limit. The brand was created to turn hardship into purpose and to prove that consistency and faith can build something impactful.
As the founder/CEO of Tic Footwears, what's been the most challenging part of building the brand, and how do you stay motivated?
The most challenging part has been sourcing quality materials that meet both my standards and my clients’ expectations. Staying motivated comes from seeing customers satisfied, learning daily from people doing better than me, and viewing rejection as a tool for growth rather than discouragement.
What's your personal style, and how does it reflect in the brand's designs?
My personal style is simple, classic, and functional with a touch of creativity. This reflects in TIC Footwears’ designs—clean finishes, comfortable fits, and styles that balance elegance with everyday practicality.
As a brand, what steps is Tic Footwears taking to ensure sustainability and social responsibility in its operations and supply chain?
TIC Footwears focuses on responsible material selection, minimizing waste during production, and supporting local suppliers and artisans. We believe in building not just a brand, but a community that benefits from skill development and ethical work practices.
What's Tic Footwears' growth plan for the next few years, and how do you see the brand evolving in the Nigerian market?
Our growth plan includes improving production capacity, expanding product lines, strengthening online presence, and building partnerships. In the Nigerian market, TIC Footwears aims to become a trusted homegrown brand known for quality, affordability, and consistency.
With the rise of online shopping, how has Tic Footwears adapted to the digital landscape, and what's your e-commerce strategy?
We have embraced social media and digital platforms to showcase our products, engage customers, and take orders. Our strategy is to gradually build a structured e-commerce system while using platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp to maintain direct and personal customer relationships.
How do you engage with your customers, and what feedback mechanisms do you have in place to improve your products and services?
Customer engagement happens through direct communication on social media, order follow-ups, and feedback after delivery. We listen carefully to customer reviews and complaints, using them to adjust designs, improve comfort, and enhance overall service quality.
